The Pillars of Our Independent Baptist Faith

Understand the core convictions that define our identity and our commitment to biblical authority.

FAITH AND BELIEF

As an Independent Baptist church, we hold to specific convictions that shape how we worship, how we govern ourselves, and how we live. The term independent means we are self-governing and not under the control of a denominational hierarchy. This allows us to focus entirely on following the lead of the Holy Spirit and the direct commands of the Bible.

The Authority of the Word

Our primary pillar is the belief that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God, serving as our final authority in all matters. We do not look to modern trends or cultural shifts to dictate our beliefs; instead, we look to the timeless truths of scripture. This provides a sense of stability and peace in a world that is constantly changing its mind.

Salvation Through Christ Alone

At the heart of our teaching is the wonderful news that salvation is a free gift from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe the church is a gathering of believers who have experienced this grace and want to share it with others. Everything we do at Berean Baptist Church is aimed at pointing people toward the hope found in Christ.
